Richard Laurent
Illustrator and Editorial Cartoonist
Richard Laurent is an illustrator and editorial cartoonist who has drawn for national magazines and newspapers. He has worked as an editorial cartoonist for the Chicago Sun-Times, done hundreds of assignments for the Chicago Reader, served as creative director for Encyclopaedia Britannica Educational Corporation, and engaged in numerous free-lance projects as illustrator, designer or animator. His new book, ‘Laughing Matters–the Political Cartoons of Richard Laurent’ is a trip down the proverbial rabbit hole of politics. His studio 922 is located in the historic Fine Arts Building, Chicago.
